Finch and The Last Duel – More Movies Weekly – Episode 33

In this episode of the More Movies Weekly podcast, Greg and Dave discuss Finch (2021), The Matrix Resurrections (2021), the latest instalment of the science fiction action film saga directed by Lana Wachowski and starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris.

To find out if his reality is a physical or mental construct, Mr. Anderson, aka Neo, will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more. If he’s learned anything, it’s that choice, while an illusion, is still the only way out of — or into — the Matrix. Neo already knows what he has to do, but what he doesn’t yet know is that the Matrix is stronger, more secure and far more dangerous than ever before.

We also discuss The Last Duel (2021) the epic historical drama film directed by Ridley Scott, starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck. Set in medieval France, the film stars Damon as Jean de Carrouges, a knight who challenges his friend, squire Jacques Le Gris to a judicial duel after Jean’s wife, Marguerite, accuses Jacques of raping her. The events leading up to the duel are divided into three chapters, reflecting the perspectives of the three main characters.

We also take a look at the new poster released for Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the rumours about the upcoming Lethal Weapon 5 film being directed by Mel Gibson.
